Wonderful watch By Elaine

I bought this watch for myself after I got tired of replacing watch batteries. I have a tiny wrist and have a hard time finding a watch that looks to be the right size for me. This was a perfect watch for me. Is great as a casual watch and the delicate bracelet is perfect for when I am dressing up more. It does not have a second hand but when charged the minute hand moves 1/3 of a minute every 20 seconds. Nice way to tell that it is running correctly without having a distracting second hand.

I am a big fan of Citizen Eco-Drive now. It is one of two watches I wear on a regular basis now.

Very excited when this came in the mail. I’ve had it for about two weeks now and I love it. Sound quality is great, and battery lasts a while too. The battery does drain somewhat quickly though when you are watching movies or playing games on it. Also, very sturdy. The only thing I recommend doing is getting a case at the same time as the nano. The screen is very sensitive to smudges and the like.

Bought the nano 4g purple for my daughter and she was elated. She always wanted one after 3 other brands of mp3 palyers. The coolness of the design and bright purple was beautiful. The only sad thing was that the earphones that came with it was crappy. So we bought her a pair of Skull Candy earbuds and these work fantastic with the nano. So go out and upgrade your earphones to better ones to get better sound reproduction.

The new 4th generation from Apple is awesome - once I turned it on and heard the first song it was like coming into another world. So clear and good sound that you forget you even have your headphones on.

This new generation has an accelerometer as well as the iPod Touch and iPhone which means you can rotate the iPod 90 degrees to get coverflow view on your albums. Also let’s say you find a random song that is in the middle of an album you have you can easily turn on to coverflow, push the center button and browse through every song on that album.

Some says that the coverflow gets in the way for easy volume changes, and that is in one way correct, but the reason why I’m still at five stars is because it’s not worth making a big deal out of it. If you have it vertically in your pocket it’s no problem. Volume adjustments works immediately. If the player somehow is horizontally, it’s just to reposition it, wait for 1-2 second and you can adjust volume. I won’t call this a problem.

Shake to shuffle is also a really cool thing they have built in, and it works great. Note that if you are on a running trip and may be running in a steep downhill that may turn the shake-to-shuffle on unwanted you can of course turn it of in the setting menu.

Video playback is better that expected on such a small screen, and you don’t need large resolution to get stunning pictures on it. Choose if the image should fit the screen or not, what TV standard (PAL or NTSC) along with other settings. TV shows are automatically presented horizontally. Be sure to have the correct encoding on the movies of TV shows if the battery should hold 4 hours. On a Mac which I use you can encode the movies by export them from Quick Time Pro. There is a preset called Movie to iPod. Then it’s just to open the video in iTunes and sync the iPod. Video playlists are also automatically created.

I have finally decided to purchase brushes to apply my make up instead of using q-tips or the little sponge applicators. This is a great starter kit for the beginner like myself or for travel. It’s the perfect size to carry in your bag and the quality is amazing. The size of this set was my favorite part! I actually got to see it in the store before I bought it, and it’s tiny! Closed, it’s about 5 inches tall, and about 3 inches wide. Open, it’s about 6 inches wide. (the pouch). Also, even when it’s closed, it’s very thin. It reminds me very much of the size of a passport. (only a little taller). The magnetic closure is actually quite brilliant, you don’t have to align anything, you just fold it shut. The brushes themselves have been great. I mostly use the eyebrow/liner brush and the smudger brush… but all of them are great quality. The only thing I wish was different, is to have a travel sized concealer brush, instead of the blender brush. I have noticed a little bit of shedding, but it’s tolerable.

Almost “Untouchable By C. Franz

The 2nd generation iPod Touch is an almost perfect device. It combines top-notch video/audio, world-class UI, great casual gaming, hundrets of apps, and full access to the Internet into a single, beautiful package. To sum it up neatly: Untouchable. Well — almost. It has one big flaw if you have invested in accessories: it may not be compatible with them, as Apple has changed the iPod connector pin-out (again). With those reservations, I recommend the Touch to anyone. Also great: owners of the 1st gen Touch can get most of these goodies with a simple, inexpensive software upgrade.

Overall, it was a solid update for the iPod Touch. I wish the speaker could be better on it, but I believe that is due to the physical restrictions of the small device. I could have knocked it to four stars for that, but I think most people realize a built in speaker isn’t the way you want to listen to most audio on an iPod to begin with. I’m impressed by the second generation iPod Touch, and I think with the third party applications getting better and becoming more popular, more people will consider the Touch.

Obviously from all these other reviews this is by far the most functional product out there, and I’m not disputing that at all, I loved my Ipod touch, but they have a ridiculously short lifespan. The kicker is that if you as much as sweat on it or expose it to rapidly changing temperatures (as is common in the upper midwest) your warranty is voided and your Ipod might not last long at all.

I just lost an Ipod touch due to moister condensation from taking it from 30 degree weather to 70 degree weather. That created enough condensation to trip the water marker inside the Ipod which voids the warranty and shorted out the screen. To top it off; that one was actually a replacement for another Ipod touch because the first one I got had a phone jack that broke within a month of normal use, and then this one had a faulty screen due to “water damage” and now Apple conveniently doesn’t have to replace it anymore.

Superlative sound, but no remote switch. By Samuel Shell

After becoming attached to a JBL Micro, I decided I could use another, more affordable version. The Cyber Acoustics dock-speaker seemed like a worthy candidate, especially at a half to two-thirds the price of the JBL. Frankly, I wasn’t expecting a unit as good as the vaunted JBL but was willing to sacrifice some quality to save a few bucks.

Surprise. If anything, the Cyber Acoustics sounds better than the On Stage Micro! Tastes will vary, but the CA-421 is slightly warmer, has deeper and fuller bass, and is less inclined to distort when playing files recorded excessively “hot.” The Micro is a bit more crisp-sounding with a slight edge in treble frequencies (as noticed while comparing the drum’s hi-hats and ride cymbals on the two units). I’m finding the Cyber Acoustics unit “wears” better for extending listening stretches.

Aside from the sound of the two units, the Cyber Acoustics-421 will seem agreeably light and trim–unless you’ve owned a JBL Micro, which wins on style points (the impressiveness of the Micro’s sound is partly due to its coming from such a tiny saucer). The JBL also gets points for finishing touches and detailing–the look and feel are less “plastic” (even though, unlike the boxed CA, it comes sealed in virtually impenetrable plastic laminate). Also, the JBL’s carrying bag is supple and cushioned (with interior pockets and velcro straps to keep Micro, iPod, and cords tightly and neatly packed); the CA’s is basically a functional “sack.” On the other hand, the Cyber Acoustics has clearer labeling of the plastic inserts for adapting different iPod models; the JBL comes with the inserts, but the user has to pick the right one through trial and error.

Even if the cost of the two units were the same, the CA-461 would still be competitive, if for sound alone. Perhaps the most compelling reason to go with the JBL in that case is its inclusion of a remote–admittedly handy for starting, stopping, and changing tunes when the speaker is on the other side of the room. But even without the remote, I doubt you’ll find a better value in an iPod dock-speaker than this little Cyber Acoustics overachiever.

I was looking for something cheap to listen to podcasts while I was working in the garage. This thing plays loudly with no apparent distortion. Very well designed with digital volume control. Recharged my iTouch in less than an hour. At the present it has adapters for all iPods regardless of what the descriptions may say. Had I paid twice as much I would have still regarded it as a bargain.

These speakers have great sound for their size. If you’re looking to spend this amount on speakers, then they are great. I listen to dance music when I’m travelling and the sound is good when it’s played reasonably loud. My only (small) complaint is that I have a white iPod and only black speakers are available. But apart from that, I’m really happy with these.

I decided to buy this backpack because my dog literally ate my other one. I was in a great hurry to buy another backpack of high quality, so I knew that I needed a Jansport. I bought the Super Break backpack in Orchid Corduroy. In case there is another person interested in this color, I really like it; it is what I wanted. Imagine the color of lilacs. The backpack has only a large compartment and a smaller one for your pens, etc.

Now to describe the backpack: The main compartment seems to be big enough for an average sized college textbook, a small book, a planner, a small 3-ring binder, a notebook, and a few loose papers. Right now I am taking a summer class, so I have few books to carry. In the fall, however, I will probably carry an average of six books each day to class. The good news is that with all of these items to carry for my summer class, there is still a large amount of room left. I would estimate that this backpack could carry about 3 average sized textbooks, a few smaller books, and a planner (with creative stacking). I also carry my lunch in my backpack, and a water; these fit in the pack well.

I gave this backpack a four because of the smaller compartment. As I look at the backpack, the small compartment could carry several loose items. The “organizer” only consists of a larger pouch, say for a scientific calculator and a floppy disc, and only two pen or pencil holders. As a college student, I must carry several miscellaneous items from pens to index cards. I feel that for people in the same situation, this backpack may not meet the above mentioned need. I feel that I could use more compartments for organization.

The backpack is medium sized overall; it is not so small that a student couldn’t make it, but it isn’t large enough to accomodate copious amounts of books or other school supplies. Overall, the comfort of this backpack is, on a range of 1-5, a five. The straps on this pack are padded very nicely. I am currently carrying around 15 pounds of books; not even close to what I usually carry, but so far, so good. It also features adjustable straps with more of a range than I am used to. As a small person, this was a great bonus. If you use both straps, this pack should not shift around too much. However, I only use one in order to get the backpack off and be seated quickly. Also, the backpack unzips without any trouble whatsoever (don’t you hate it when the zipper gets stuck in the fabric?).

I love this bag because it is light and roomy. However after laying it on the concrete a few times, it has 2 small holes at the bottom because the bag is so thin. I got my money’s worth, but will look for something with a leather bottom if you lay your bag on the ground at all.

This backpack is very large inside. It is the third year I am using this brand and style. Being a girl I have to have a new color every year. This one is green. I like the color, it’s very vibrant. Last years’ was pink and though it was durable, it got dirty too easy and had to be washed quite often. Yes, I wash it in the washer on gentle cycle and hang to dry. It can hold all of my school books, but I’m thankful that I don’t have to bring them all at once. Front zipper pocket is very large and holds my pen pouch, a small purse, and cd player. All around great backpack and it’s washable, what more could you ask for?
